Dryer Vent Cleaning

There are a variety of methods our skilled technicians are equipped to perform in order to clean and remove any blockage from your dryer vent.  Each method is employed depending on the configuration of the dryer vents in your household or at your own preference.

1. Indoor Cleaning

The first step in cleaning your dryer vent is to carefully move the dryer from the wall, followed by detaching the dryer vent from the dryer.  If your dryer is gas-powered, the technician will turn off the gas valve at this point.

Once that is complete, a drill-powered cable brush and vacuum are used to clean the venting.  The vacuum is turned on while the drill-powered cable brush is carefully and thoroughly fed into the dryer vent, as to vacuum any dislodged lint/debris. The technicians also carry a variety of tools specialized in cleaning dryer vents and will decide which tool is right for each situation.

When our specialists determine that they have successfully cleaned the length of the vent, they perform another airflow measurement to confirm the vent has, in fact, been properly cleaned.

2. Outdoor Cleaning

There are two methods which our technicians employ in order to clean your vent from outside your home.

The first is identical to the indoor cleaning method, which uses a drill-powered cable brush.  The second requires that our technicians carefully and thoroughly feed a compressor-powered air whisk into your dryer vent, effectively dislodging and exhausting any lint/debris accumulated in your dryer vent.

When our specialists determine that they have successfully cleaned the length of the vent, they perform another airflow measurement to confirm the vent has, in fact, been properly cleaned.

3. Bird's Nest Removal

Our bird's nest removal service is unique in that it must be performed in conjunction with a dryer vent cleaning.  The reasons for this are as follows; our technicians may not be able to accurately determine whether you have a bird's nest in your dryer vent, and that in order for our technicians to reach and remove the bird's nest, any debris or lint-build up must already be cleared.

If our specialists encounter a bird's nest while cleaning, a special attachment is replaced with the brush on the drill-powered cable that is used to clear bird's nests.  Once the cleaning is finished,

our technicians perform a visual inspection with a cable mounted, mini-cam to confirm that the bird's nest has been removed.
